The loss of Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV transcends regions, tribes, political affiliations, and personal interests. It is a loss for the entire nation and calls for respect.

Astonishingly, some petty and gullible politicians like fugitive Emmanuel Banda find it interesting to make scandalous outbursts, falsehoods, malicious, and misleading allegations against innocent people, including the leadership of the country.

Political commentators have widely condemned Emmanuel J Banda, urging him to espect traditional institutions and the deceased.

They say Emmanuel J Banda’s attempt to play politics over the death of Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV is nauseating, and should be condemned by all peace loving Zambians.

Making unwarranted and unverified claims about his death is a serious act of disrespect towards the Ngoni Royal family, the Ngoni people, and the institution of traditional leaders in Zambia.

Most Zambians are concerned that Emmanuel J. Banda has developed a habit of making wild and serious accusations against respected institutions and national leaders without providing evidence.

It is deeply concerning how, as a nation, seem to normalise madness and mediocrity in moments that call for dignity, wisdom, and unity.

Zambia is grieving. Zambia has suffered a big loss, and a profound void has been created in the hearts of citizens.

Surprisingly, instead of allowing the family space to mourn and honour the life of the great traditional leader, some opposition factions have chosen to amplify rumours and speculation from an individual whose conduct and credibility have long been questioned.

Such hallucinations do nothing to lessen the royal family’s pain. Emmanuel J. Banda’s conduct reveals a lack of sensitivity and respect for the gravity of the moment.

This is a time for reflection, a time for mourning. A time to recognise that Zambia has lost a leader, a father, a brother, and above all, a son of this soil.

Zambians should stand in solidarity with the Ngoni Royal Family, the national traditional leadership, and the people of Zambia who are most directly affected by this great loss.

The nation should offer support, respect the royal establishment’s guidance, and give them space during this difficult period as preparations are made to lay the traditional leader to rest with the honour and dignity he truly deserves.

From repeated attacks on the presidency to now making allegations concerning the death of one of Zambia’s traditional leaders, Emmanuel J. Banda’s conduct should never be glorified by any section of Zambia’s political space.

The Ngoni Royal Establishment deserves commendation for reporting fugitive Emmanuel J. Banda to the police over allegations that Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV was killed.

According to the Ngoni Royal Establishment, the late paramount Chief died after an illness for which he had been receiving medical treatment.

Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV was not only a traditional leader but also a symbol of unity and cultural heritage for the Ngoni people and Zambia.
