Former Katuba Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa says some Bembas are regrouping to remove President Hakainde Hichilema, not because he has failed, but feel they are more superior beings than others.
And Shakafuswa has rubbished insinuations that Bembas have been put on trial, saying no one has put Bembas on trial but is simply calling a spade a spade.
Shakafuswa says, speaking from experience, he knows people who were posted to Bembaland and were not accepted because the people and the Chiefs thought such positions were supposed to be filled by locals.

It looks like we have put Bemba on trial. No we have not. Maybe we have made a mistake in calling a spade a spade! I have a string of my relatives and friends, from our regions, who were posted to the Bembaland and were not accepted because the people and the Chiefs thought their positions were supposed to be filled by locals.
I can mention them here and the people who victimised them, if I get their permission. Is it one Zambia One Nation when Mundubile aspires to be President because Mumbi Phiri says only a Northerner or Easterner can win the next election.
We are not allowed to speak our language nor promote our culture in your lands. We have lived this life to know that One Zambia One Nation only exists among our people. Not your people. No wonder you are grouping to remove HH, not because he has failed, but you feel you are a superior beings! He is not yours.
He is Tonga. Don’t take us for granted. We don’t rate you that much above anyone else. HH belongs somewhere. He might be foolish to you. Yes our fool. But then even fools are schooled. We Will sit him down to make him a better Leader.
We have lived with you all our lives to realise you are not special people. We are all the same. Don’t impose One Zambia One Nation on us. Embrace it too. Because for us, we practice it in real life. In our lives. That is our life. I have married from LUAPULA. Ndalumba
