JOHN SANGWA IS A JOKER

LAWYER John Sangwa, a new entrant in politics, has asked Zambians to fund his campaign by donating K100 each.

Sangwa’s assertion that Zambians should finance his campaign because he can’t fund it himself has sparked concerns about his leadership credentials.

His critics have crowned him as Joker of the Year, replacing the likes of Mulyokela.

Recently, Sangwa unveiled a 10-point plan outlining his vision for Zambia’s revival if elected president.

While Sangwa is welcome to join the political arena, he should be reminded that politics is about service, not a platform for fundraising.

Presidential politics demands seriousness and substance, not opportunism or a social media popularity contests.

Politics at the presidential level should not be a playground for opportunists seeking social media fame.

We expect individuals entering the race to demonstrate seriousness and a clear plan.

Asked whether he would form a political party, his response was a big NO!

Analysts argue that Sangwa, coming from a respected profession like law, should have shown more seriousness.

His call for Zambians to fund his campaign has raised eyebrows, particularly after stating that he can’t finance his own presidential ambition himself.

He should be reminded that Zambia is not his law firm to ask citizens to pay for aspirations to be president.

Critics are asking “Sangwa before you ask Zambians to pay you for joining politics, explain how Archbishop Alick Banda was gifted an asset from a public institution he had no relationship with. This is important because you are the one who was handling the matter on behalf of the bishop.
