THE Patriotic Front (PF) have reignited their tribal politics and hegemonic belief that only people from their chosen regions should be in positions of power.
Leaders in the former ruling party believe in nothing but tribalism. They are refusing to accept that Hakainde Hichilema, a Tonga speaking from Bweengwa, is today the president of this great nation.
The PF can not still accept that a cattle header is the leader of the nation of Zambia.
Zambians should also examine the people who are championing the tribal crusade. In most cases, it’s people with questionable origins. A true Zambian, whose parents, both mother and father are indigenous Zambians, would not entertain tribalism. Indigenous Zambians believe in the motto One Zambia, One nation.
It has been observed that those in the forefront of the tribal crusade have either Tanzanian, Congolese, Angolan, Mozambique, or Malawian origins.
It is evident that some political leaders in Zambia, particularly in the PF, have questionable origins. Some have foreign mothers while others, their fathers.
Most known leaders in the opposition are products of Congolese mothers who came into Zambia as Kasai rhumba music dancing queens. Luckily, for some of them, got married to Zambian men.
It is time to bring back the law second Republican President Frederick TJ Chiluba had introduced for those seeking political leadership of Zambia to have both their parents be Zambian citizens by birth.
These foreign connected politicians will lose nothing should Zambia fall into civil war. They have their origins to run to while the majority of Zambians have nowhere to run to.
An innocent man in the name of Amon Mweemba, the CEO at RTSA, is being crucified for merely identifying tribalism in some appointments at the institutions.
Instead, Mweemba should be commended for stopping the rot at RTSA.
In fact, the government should institute a commission of inquiry to investigate how people were employed during the previous regimes.
The government should ensure that the commission of inquiry concludes its mandate within three months.
This is the only way Zambians will know how some regions were favoured against others.
The PF official Facebook book page is today insinuating that the foreign service is full of Tonga speaking people. It is a stupid, rotten idea of a joke to suggest that only Tongas are being appointed into foreign service. To the contrary, President Hichilema has tried his best to ensure that all regions are represented in his appointments.
Contrary to the PF lies and half-truths they are perpetuating on their Facebook page, all the regions of Zambia are well represented in the foreign service.
A patriotic Zambian came up with a diverse list below to show that all regions of Zambia are well represented in the foreign service.
