PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema, will undertake an Official Working Visit to Japan from 3 February to 7 February, 2025.
During his sojourn in Japan, the President will pay a State Call on His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. H.E. Shigeru Ishiba, Prime Minister of Japan, will convene a summit meeting with the President and host a working dinner in his honor.
As a result of the President’s visit to Japan, it is anticipated that the cordial relations between Japan and the Republic of Zambia will be further augmented. 
During his stay in Japan, the President will visit Aichi and Kyoto, in addition to Tokyo.
Through the visit to Aichi and Kyoto, further development of regional exchange between the two nations is expected.
This will be President Hichilema’s inaugural visit to Japan, and he is scheduled to arrive on February 3 and depart in the early hours of February 8 following a series of events through February 7.
