Edgar Lungu, the former President of Zambia, has made it clear that he has no intention of retiring from politics.
In a recent statement, Lungu emphasized that he can only consider retirement when the Patriotic Front (PF) is restored to its rightful owners.
“Politics is not something you can retire from, but you can’t just reduce your involvement either,” Lungu said. “I’m coming back into active politics to save my family without fear or favor.”
Lungu also stated that the only way he can reconcile with President Hakainde Hichilema is if the PF is restored to its rightful owners.
He boldly declared, “I’m ready to fight back with all my weapons.”
This announcement comes after a group of over 20 PF MPs called on Lungu to retire from active politics following the Constitutional Court ruling that declared him ineligible to contest future presidential elections.
However, Lungu remains resolute in his decision to remain involved in politics and fight for the PF’s rightful ownership.
