An American telecoms firm has announced a 10-million dollar AI investment in Zambia’s financial sector.
Devdraft AI, Chief Executive Officer Salifnjyani Namwila says the Silicon Valley based firm, will set up its African operations base in Lusaka.
Ms. Namwila says the firm intends to work with various small and medium enterprises to provide AI powered financial payment platforms.
And Devdraft AI co-founder Boris Manda says government’s good investment policies have lured the American firm to setup base in Zambia.
Meanwhile, Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati says government will support Devdraft AI as it sets up its business in the country.
