The Zambia Police has disclosed that the country has this year recorded 10,000 Gender-Based Violence -GBV- cases countrywide as at last week.

Police Assistant Commissioner in the Victim Support Unit, GLORIA MUBITA disclosed this to ZNBC news in Lusaka.

Ms MUBITA said as the country prepares to commemorate the 16 Days of Gender Activism will intensify sensitisation programmes, in order to help curb cases of GBV.

Zambia will, from November 25 to December 10, 2024, commemorate the 16 Days of Gender Activism, under the theme: Towards Beijing plus30: Unite to end violence against women and girls.
