I’m Clean, Says EX-DC

United Party For National Development founding member Mr Lovemore Kanyama tells his political enemies that he never pocketed government money during his tenure in government, instead let’s grow and cement the broken or rather mend the gap between party members and officials.

Kanyama who was Siavonga district commissioner in the previous government said that it’s unfortunate that his political enemies are having sleepless nights trying to dent his name on issues which don’t exist, he said that he will not be distracted with unfounded allegations.

Kanyama further explained that there are a few individuals who are uncomfortable with him being in the ruling party, the party he founded in early 1998 with the help of the late Gerald Mutti then Transport and communication chairperson in Siavonga before the separation of Chirundu District from Siavonga.

He said that the support he is enjoying in the ruling party in both Chirundu and Siavonga is based on his good working relationship, respect and the interaction he had with the people when he was in government, adding that he will continue supporting UPND members within his reach.

He said that his name is being celebrated like this in Siavonga because of the good working relationship and respect he had for the people of Siavonga and Chirundu.

Kanyama further remindered those serving in government to always be good and respect the people they are mandated to serve because tomorrow the same people will look after you regardless of the position you have now.
