ACT AGAINST UNRULY BEHAVIOR OF SUSPECTED CADRES-KANG’OMBE ASKS POLICE
By Sandra Chuungu
Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe says there is need for local law enforcement agencies to take decisive action against suspected unruly political cadres in Chingola.
This is in response to the allegations that both members of the United Party for National Development (UPND) and the Patriotic Front (PF) suspected cadres were engaging in disruptive behavior that threatens the country’s peace.
Mr Kang’ombe expressed concern over the alleged increasing incidents of violence and intimidation attributed to suspected political cadres, stating, “It is essential that we maintain peace and order in our community. I call upon our local law enforcement agencies to lock up those who are causing chaos, regardless of their political affiliations.”
He also made a vow to uphold the rule of law, further stating that such actions from unruly individuals not only damage the reputation of their respective parties but also threaten the developmental agenda of the UPND, which is striving to uplift the standard of living for all Zambians.
“We cannot allow political differences to overshadow the progress we are making,” he stated.
He urged politicians to focus on constructive dialogue rather than engaging in conflict that could potentially harm innocent citizens and hinder governmental initiatives meant to foster growth and unity.
“Together, we can build a community where everyone thrives, free from fear and intimidation”, he concluded.
