The statement by Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance candidate Brian Mundubile’s presidential affairs.
The admission by Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance senior Binwell Mpundu that his party sent four youths for VVIP militia training in Russia is worrying. 
Mpundu, who serves as presidential affairs senior official for Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance president Brian Mundubile, should be arrested. The matter should be thoroughly investigated to ascertain what the four Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance cadres went to do in Russia.
Mpundu disclosed to the media that the opposition sent youths for VVIP protection, including high-level physical security, advanced threat assessments, close protection tactics, and secure transportation methods.
In fact, Mpundu should be arrested immediately because his revelations border on national security and can compromise the security situation of the country.
By admitting to sending individuals abroad for specialised military training or elite security training, Mpundu has exposed a breach of Zambian law and national security protocols.
The Zambia police and other key government security wings should take a keen interest in Mpundu’s revelations.
According to sources within the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance, the four youths were being trained at a private facility by a private firm, and not by the Russian government.
Information gathered so far indicate that the Patriotic Front (PF) thugs went to undergo specialised military tactics to cause comotion on poll day and the following day during the announcement of results.
Multiple sources reveal that it is a well-coordinated clandestine scheme meant to desturbilise the country following a realisation that Brian Mundubile will not win the August 13 elections.
In 2013, when the PF sent youths to Sudan for elite tactical training, Zambia witnessed the worst militia gangs that unleashed untaught violence on innocent citizens.
The country experienced its worst violence ever in 2015, 2016, and in the lead-up to the 2021 general elections.
Security matters are very sensitive. This is how militias and terrorist groups are formed.
The Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance, which is reincarnation of the PF, sent youths for military training abroad.
Analysts are questioning why the opposition has resorted to military training of their cadres if indeed they mean well for Zambia.
The question is; Who is supposed to authorise and recommend for military raining?
They have started training commanders again. Indeed, they want to double what Zambians experienced in PF regime. The same commanders at intercity bus terminals are being retrained to cause terror again.
Analysts warn that private military training groups can cause havoc and could cause instability. These secretly trained people are what the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance wants to use to take over public facilities such as markets, bus stops, play parks, etc.
Under the Zambian law, conducting or participating in unauthorised military training, exercises, or drills is a serious crime classified as a felony
Section 66 of the Penal Code Act (Chapter 87) of the laws of Zambia addresses “Unlawful drilling.” It states that training or drilling any person in the use of fire arms, military exercises, movements, or evolutions without the permission of the President is illegal.
Anyone who trains or drills another person without government/presidential authority is guilty of a felony and can be convicted of up to seven years imprisonment.
Elections should not be used to sweep criminality under the carpet.
