PATRIOTIC Front (PF) faction secretary general Raphael Nakachinda is allegedly planning to cause chaos during the burial of late President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
Source with knowledge of the alleged planned act of violence disclosed that Mr. Nakachinda decided to return from South Africa ahead of others so that he could organise PF youths to cause trouble during the burial of the late former head of State.
The intended plot is aimed at embarrassing President Hakainde Hichilema and his government in the presence of foreign signatories
Mr. Nakachinda arrived in the country a few days ago with a hidden agenda. It is reported that Mr. Nakachinda has been holding clandestine meetings with bus and taxi drivers in Lusaka with a view to cause transport disruptions from the day Mr. Lungu’s body will arrive in the country.
It is further alleged that Mr. Nakachinda has also met with some PF sponsors who have pledged material and financial resources for the planned violent and civil disobedience acts, including the disruption of the government burial programme.
The PF are said to have aborted their earlier plan to transport huge sums of money along with the casket containing the remains of the former president.
The PF have now resolved to mobilise resources from their local financier. This is in addition to the cash they mobilised while in South Africa.
