Former Minister of Legal Affairs in the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy -MMD Government, RODGER CHONGWE has died.
Dr. CHONGWE 86 years old, died last evening in LUSAKA, after an illness.
Secretary to the Cabinet, PATRICK KANGWA has confirmed the death of Dr. CHONGWE to ZNBC News today. 
Mr. KANGWA said the late Dr. CHONGWE served in the Cabinet of the Second President of Zambia Dr. FREDERICK CHILUBA from 1991 to 1993.
He said the funeral gathering for the Late Cabinet Minister is being held at Subdivision 36 farm 34A, Palabana Road in Chongwe District.
Mr. KANGWA said Cabinet Office is working with the family of the Late Dr. CHONGWE on the burial arrangements.
He said a detailed funeral programme will be released once the funeral arrangements are finalised.
