LUNGU’S GOOD GOVERNANCE LECTURE FALLS FLAT

Economic Front leader Wynter Kabimba has strongly criticized former President Edgar Lungu, stating that he should be the last person to speak about human rights abuses due to his own guilty record.

Kabimba asserts that Lungu’s regime was notorious for disregarding institutions of governance and human rights, and that his thugs harassed citizens during his tenure.

Speaking on 5fm’s Burning Issue programme today, Kabimba believes that Lungu should apologize to the Zambian people for the numerous atrocities he committed.

Kabimba also accuses Lungu of being hypocritical, as he is now speaking out against human rights abuses despite being guilty of similar offenses himself.

Furthermore, Kabimba claims that Lungu’s advisors are misleading him into thinking he can still contest the presidency, despite a court ruling to the contrary.

He also recalls how Lungu treated opposition leaders, including HH, like criminals, subjecting them to physical abuse and humiliation simply for aspiring to serve the people.

Kabimba’s statement comes as a strong condemnation of Lungu’s actions and a call for him to take responsibility for his past wrongdoings.
