A 20-year-old man of Livingstone has been ran over while trying to help aid a driver who was stuck in the mud.
Sankwa Mushabati was run over while aiding Brian Hangoma who was reversing his light truck which got stuck in mud.
Southern Province deputy commanding officer Moono Namalongo said the incident occurred at around 21:30 hours in Kabuyu area, north of Livingstone town. 
He said involved was Mr Hangoma who was driving a Mercedes Benz light truck motor vehicle bearing registration number AJC 5929 which was reversing from the direction of East to West.
“Also involved was one male pedestrian identified as Mr Sankwa Mushabati aged 20 years of Kabuyu Village who sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. The accident happened when the light truck which was loaded with maize seed was stuck in the mud and in the process of the driver trying to remove it from the mud it went and run over the pedestrian who was giving a signal from behind,” he said.
