The Zambia National Service plans to establish a milling plant in Eastern Province at a site already identified.
ZNS Commander Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI says the plant will produce over 500 metric tonnes of mealie meal in 24hrs which will significantly boosting food production in the region.
Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI, disclosed this during a courtesy call on Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI at his office in Chipata.
The facility is part of the 10 milling plants being procured from China to enhance agricultural processing and food security nationwide.
