The Muvombo Development Initiative (MDI) has announced a partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts to empower young people through the establishment of a national arts studio. This initiative aims to create a platform for emerging talents in music, film and other artistic fields, fostering both revenue generation and positive community impact.
Permanent Secretary for Arts, Chama Fumba, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the studio’s potential to enhance opportunities for youth. “We are dedicated to ensuring our joint efforts yield meaningful results, effectively supporting young people and addressing their needs,” he stated.
Next week’s Ngoma Awards will further showcase this collaboration by celebrating talent from across the nation and encouraging creative expression among young artists. MDI’s management, led by Managing Director Mr. Winter Muvombo, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Ministry’s objectives and responding to community needs.
As a fully registered NGO, MDI strives to complement the New Dawn Government’s initiatives in various sectors, including those focused on women, youth and rural communities. The organization is also seeking funding from supporters of President Hakainde Hichilem a who are passionate about empowering local communities.
This partnership transcends a simple agreement; it represents a shared commitment to building a brighter future for Zambia’s youth.
