DIVISION is brewing within the Patriotic Front faction led by Given Lubinda, following reports that he pocketed $200,000 dollars from the sale of the party to a South African-born Zambian businessman.
PF die-hard, Chanoda Ngwira, has accused Lubinda of pocketing $200,000 from a South African businessman in exchange for the PF presidency.
Ngwira, who is a member of the Umodzi Kumawa group, has further accused PF secretary general Raphael Nakachinda of receiving $150,000.
Ngwira has said the two leaders pocketed the money from the sale of the party presidency.
Lubinda has installed himself as Tonse Alliance chairman sidelining Danny Pule, who should have taken over the leadership of the political grouping.
While Lubinda and Nakachinda led a group of cadres under the pretext of mourning the late former President Edgar Lungu, their actual mission was to receive a substantial sum of money in exchange for the party.
Ngwira made the allegations in a post on his Facebook page.
In his post, he referred to Mr. Lubinda as Graven Lukinda and Mr. Nakachinda as Rakachelo Lakachunda.
In 2019, PF cadres beat up Lubinda after they accused him of pocketing money from the sale of land, including the Kabwata market to foreign nationals.
