…. Sean Tembo accused of fueling confusion in the alliance…

Former President Edgar Lungu has told the Tonse Alliance that it cannot exist without the patriotic front.

The hospitalized former president says the Tonse Alliance is strong because of the strength of PF, and it is the reason the Alliance keeps attracting other partners.

He says Tonse Alliance cannot target Patriotic Front senior members with disciplinary action in such a disrespectful manner without my guidance

Lungu says without PF, Tonse Alliance would not be as strong and feared by opponents as it is.
Earlier in the week Tonse Alliance spokesperson Sean Tembo issued exculpatory letter to two faction PF senior leaders acting Secretary-General Raphael Nakachinda and Vice Chairman Given Lubinda for holding secret meetings with the Socialist Party scheming to take over the leadership of the alliance.

Tembo said the two senior members are alleged to have had a series of meetings with the Socialist Party without the knowledge or approval of the Tonse Alliance and its chairman, Edgar Lungu.

Tembo alleged that the meetings in question were unauthorized by the alliance and only came to light after some pictures were leaked.

Others seeking to clear their names include Socialist Party leader Fred M’membe, although he has not yet been admitted to the alliance.

However, in a turn of events Lungu has disowned his alliance spokesperson Sean Tembo saying he cannot discipline patriotic front members.

And Lungu says he is still Tonse Alliance chairperson contrary to the Daily nation story that Given Lubinda the faction PF vice president was anointed to lead the alliance.

In his latest posting on his Facebook page, Lungu says the Tonse Alliance cannot start to target the Patriotic Front senior members with disciplinary action in such a disrespectful manner without his guidance.

On the other hand, the Adhoc Disciplinary Committee that was constituted to investigate and adjudicate issues related to two senior members of the Tonse Alliance, Raphael Nakachinda and Given Lubinda, and their alleged relationship to the leaked audio and plans to hijack the Tonse Alliance sat this morning.
