PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has given the Kabwe Municipal Council a one month ultimatum to open the Intercity bus stop in Kabwe’s Lukanga area.

The bus stop whose construction commenced in 2018 has not yet been opened despite the council having received huge funding.

“Kabwe Municipal Council, I’m giving you one month to open that intercity bus stop. I’m giving you one month, that bus stop must open in one month. If you don’t do it I’m coming to do something against you. That bus stop in Lukanga should open. I’m not playing,” stated President Hichilema.

He further added that government will deal with anyone within the council misusing the Constutuency Development Fund (CDF).

“Whether you work in the council or you are a councilor, we will arrest you. Don’t touch other people’s money, if you touch it, you are on fire,” warned the Head of State.

The Head of State who was addressing Kabwe residents on Wednesday also told them that the Lusaka Ndola dual carriage way will make progress after the rain season.

He assured them that all townships in Kabwe district will soon get the privilege of having tar roads.
