Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament for Chipangali Constituency, Andrew Lubusha, has commended independent and PF Members of Parliament from Eastern Province for supporting the progressive leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema.
Speaking in Petauke Central Constituency while campaigning for UPND candidate Severian Lungu, Mr. Lubusha reaffirmed his unwavering support for the UPND government, citing its commitment to uplifting the lives of Zambians.
He praised the newly defected PF structures for making the right choice by joining a party that stands for love, peace, and national development.
Mr. Lubusha emphasized that the UPND government is the only credible source of development, highlighting its implementation of free education and the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which he said has eased his work as a lawmaker.
“All of us Members of Parliament from Eastern Province are supporting President Hakainde Hichilema and his government because we have seen that for Eastern Province to develop, we need visionary leadership,” he stated.
Dismissing allegations by Raphael Nakachinda, he described President Hichilema as an inclusive leader who embraces all Zambians regardless of political affiliation or tribe.
“If this government was selfish, we wouldn’t have come here; I have a business that can sustain my life until I die, but I am making this decision to support this government in the best interest of the vulnerable in Eastern Province,” he declared.
Mr. Lubusha urged the people of Petauke Central Constituency to make informed choices and vote for development by supporting the UPND candidate.
Meanwhile, former PF Petauke Constituency Chairperson commended the UPND government for delivering unprecedented development that even its critics cannot deny.
He asserted that the PF regime is a thing of the past and will never return to power, as Zambians have embraced the transformative leadership of the UPND.
He assured the party leadership that people across Eastern Province have acknowledged the positive impact of the UPND government’s policies.
“UPND should not be swayed by what I can only describe as the last kicks of a dying horse, because PF is finished and they are only giving themselves false hopes,” he added.
