Heavy rain has left Chitungulu chiefdom in Lumezi district cut off from the rest of the district.
A two-day downpour washed away the Chitungulu to Bulete road at Mbuzi village, rendering it impassable due to strong currents.
The Mbuzi bridge was also partially damaged.
Lumezi Town Council Secretary, Mary Sinkala has assured that remedial works will quickly be done to make the road passable during the rain season.
