Contrary to claims made by the Patriotic Front, Francis Kapwepwe, also known as Why Me, was not kept in prison as punishment.
Instead, his lawyer has confirmed that he was granted 10,000 cash bail and two securities on August 6, 2024.
However, no securities came forward to complete the necessary formalities. This information was revealed when Kapwepwe appeared at the Livingstone magistrate court.
Just a few days ago, the Patriotic Front, through its chief propagandist Emmanual Mwamba, spread a false narrative that Kapwepwe had died in jail.
Kapwepwe, a social media vlogger known for his sarcastic nature, has been arrested and detained several times in the past for similar charges related to circulating unwholesome and malicious content.
His lawyer’s confirmation sheds light on the actual circumstances surrounding his case, contradicting the propaganda spread by the Patriotic Front.
