PRESIDENT HICHILEMA DONATES TO MULUNGUSHI UNIVERSITY LECTURE WHO DIED ALONGSIDE DANDY KRAZY

CENTRAL Province Minister Mwabashike Nkulukusa has handover K20,000 funeral donation to the family of the late Mulungushi University Senior Lecturer Moses Simpungwe on behalf of President Hakainde Hichilema.

And Mr Nkulukusa, who expressed sadness at the continued loss of lives through road accidents, has urged motorists to exercise caution on the road to avoid unnecessary deaths.

The Minister described the recent road accident that claimed the lives of Dr Simpungwe, Zambia’s music icon Wesley Chibambo, popularly known as King Dandy Krazy and three others in Kapiri Mposhi District in Central Province, as a bitter pill to swallow.

He has urged the police to thoroughly scrutinise motorists on established checkpoints to ensure that those who drink under the influence of alcohol are disciplined.

Mr Nkulukusa says it is unacceptable for the country to continue losing lives because of some reckless drivers.

And family representative Baston Simpungwe has commended President Hichilema for mourning with the family.

Mr Simpungwe has also underscored the importance of taking action against drunk drivers.
