ACE Pharmaceutical Limited has failed to deliver 66 ambulances to Zambia by the promised deadline of December 31st, 2024.

So far, only 11 ambulances have been shipped, with 18 more reportedly procured but have not yet arrived in Zambia before the December 31st, 2024 as promised.

In November, Managing Director Panetta Masala cited logistical challenges, specifically the ambulance chassis supply issue, which is reliant on Toyota and conversion specialists.

Despite this, Masala assured that the company is working to ensure timely delivery.

However, this delay contradicts President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive for competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.

Minister of Health Elijah Muchima expressed shock at ZAMMSA’s decision to award another contract to one of the companies that failed to deliver the ambulances, urging ZAMMSA management to address their issues.
