Coach Wedson Nyirenda says his team has the capacity to bring the trophy home if fully supported ahead of the CHAN tournament.
Nyirenda says his technical bench has requested at least two international friendly games before the February 1st kickoff.
Zambia will know its opponents on January 15 when the draws for the tournament are held in Nairobi. 
The 2024 CHAN tournament will be hosted by three East African countries, namely Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, as a dress rehearsal for the 2027 AFCON.
Nyirenda has named a provisional squad that has been training at the newly constructed Kafue Celtic Sports Facility in Lusaka.
FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga visited the team training camp and assured them of maximum support from the association.
