Lusaka, Zambia – Friday, January 3, 2025 – The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) wishes to inform the public and stakeholders that it will conduct its routine annual stocktaking exercise from January 6 to 17, 2025.
This exercise underscores ZAMMSA’s unwavering commitment to accountability and transparency in managing the National Health Supply Chain, ensuring the availability of quality healthcare services nationwide.
According to Enoch Lusoke, Senior Corporate Communications Officer, “The stocktaking process involves the physical counting and verification of inventory within our Warehouse Management System (WMS) at the central warehouse and seven regional hubs.” 
During this period, routine deliveries will be temporarily suspended. However, ZAMMSA remains fully prepared to respond to emergency orders, ensuring continuity in the delivery of quality healthcare services to health facilities nationwide.
To minimize disruptions, all Heads of medical institutions were advised well in advance to order essential health commodities sufficient to sustain their operations throughout the stocktaking period.
ZAMMSA appreciates the cooperation of health institutions in ensuring uninterrupted services during this critical exercise.
