President Hakainde Hichilema has launched the Voluntary National Service Programme, aimed at instilling resilience and discipline among young Zambians.
This initiative will provide employment opportunities and training in various sectors, including the Zambia Army, Zambia Air Force, Zambia National Service, Zambia Police, and Zambia Correctional Service.
The program seeks to address pressing issues, such as the growing number of street children, by offering youth valuable skills and experience.
President Hichilema has set a personal example by ensuring his own children undergo military training.

Promote National Unity: Encourage patriotism and national pride President Hichilema’s commitment to sponsoring youths from all ten provinces demonstrates his dedication to inclusive development.
The Zambia National Service (ZNS) will play a crucial role in implementing the program, focusing on skills development and national service.
