The Edgar Lungu-led Tonse Alliance has seemingly abandoned its campaign efforts in Kawambwa, leaving Alliance spokesperson Sean Tembo to conduct a solo campaign for the December 20 by-election. 
This decision comes after the alliance realized the ground was not favorable for their candidate, Danstan Mwansa, whose nomination filing was initially supported by members, including those from the flagship New Congress Party.
However, these supporters have since disappeared from the campaign trail. Tembo has been tirelessly conducting door-to-door campaigns.
Yesterday, he attended mass at St. Mary’s Parish in Kawambwa, where he made a K2,000 donation to support the parish’s construction project.
In contrast, Emmanuel Mwamba, the chief PF propagandist, hasn’t posted any updates on campaign meetings in Kawambwa on his PF-aligned blogs.
