THE Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ) has advised President Hakainde Hichilema to remain focused and resist the temptation of responding to naysayers in the political landscape.
RCZ Vice Moderator Reverend Moses Mwale stated that the President should remember that there are so many things people may say but that should not bother him.
Rev. Mwale who was speaking on behalf of the Synod that paid a courtesy call on the President at State House this afternoon stated that the church supports the policies that government has been implementing so far, urging the President to continue delivering development.
“Remain focused, if you throw a stone to every dog that barks, you will not reach your destination. There are so many words that are going to be said and some of them may not be favourable to you, we encourage you to remain focused you know where you are leading us,” he said.
The church leader noted that the country is fortunate to have a leader in the President who looks out for the well-being and welfare of the nation.
The church further assured President Hichilema that it will help him unite the country by preaching peace and unity to congregants.
“We have always yearned to have an interface with you. Seeing from afar sometimes gives a wrong impression but meeting you in person actually reveals a lot about you, that you are a man that has a heart for the people and you don’t only make pronouncements, that you live what you say.”
“Out there, the image that is painted is a wrong image which distorts the kind of leader you are,” Mwale told the Head of State.
