The Lusaka Magistrate Court has fined National Democratic Congress -NDC- Party leader, SABOI IMBOELA, K25,000 for defaming State House Chief Communications Specialist, CLAYSON HAMASAKA.
This is after Lusaka Magistrate SYLVIA MUNYINYA found her guilty of two counts of Libel. 
This is in a matter which Ms. IMBOELA is facing two counts of Libel charges for defaming Mr. HAMASAKA.
Ms IMBOELA has been ordered to pay K25,000 by November 25th 2024.
Facts of the matter are that on September 9, 2022, Ms. IMBOELA while acting with other unknown individuals defamed the State House Chief Communications Specialist.
In delivering judgment,Magistrate MUNYINYA, said she found the statements made by Ms IMBOELA on her facebook page as defamatory and unlawful.
She ruled that even though the facebook posts only mentioned HAMASAKA without the first name, the perception that can be drawn by the public is State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA.
Magistrate MUNYINYA ruled that the statements posted have the potential to ruin the reputation of Mr. HAMASAK
