Chikankata – Hon. Jacqueline Sabao has unequivocally endorsed President Hakainde Hichilema as the sole candidate for the 2026 general elections. 
Speaking during a meeting with youth chairpersons representing all 14 wards in the constituency, Ms. Sabao, who is also the area Member of Parliament for Chikankata, reaffirmed her commitment to empowering youths and ensuring that government programs reach the grassroots.
Ms. Sabao also highlighted the great policies and the good vision of Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, emphasizing that his leadership ensures every Zambian benefits from the policies.
The gathering, described as a proactive engagement for continuous party mobilization, provided a platform for the youths to voice their concerns and discuss collaborative strategies for implementing government initiatives.
Youth leaders highlighted their aspirations and challenges, with Hon. Sabao emphasizing her role as a dedicated advocate for their needs.
“Youths are the foot soldiers of our party,” she stated. “They must remain resilient and informed about government programs, including grants, student bursaries, community development funds, and drought emergency funds.”
Provincial Youth Chairman Perekelo Mwendabai urged the leaders to adopt a spirit of sacrifice and problem-solving.
He called on them to identify and seize opportunities within their communities while fostering unity and collaboration.
Mr. Mwendabai also publicly endorsed Hon. Sabao for re-election, praising her efforts in engaging and uplifting the youth.
