Zambia The Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Vice Chairperson Hon. Jacqueline Sabao, who is also the Member of Parliament for Chikankata Constituency, said PAC sittings has commenced its rigorous examination of Ministries, Provinces, and Agencies (MPAs).
Yesterday, the Ministry of Finance and the Zambia Revenue Authority appeared before the PAC to address numerous queries raised by the Auditor General in the Report of the Auditor General on the Accounts of the Republic for the financial year ended 31st December 2023. 
Hon. Sabao emphasized the importance of this scrutiny in ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public funds. “Our role is to meticulously examine these accounts and ensure that public resources are being used effectively and efficiently,” she stated.
The PAC’s sessions are crucial for maintaining the integrity of Zambia’s financial management systems. The committee’s work helps to identify any irregularities and recommend corrective measures to improve governance.
