The Luwingu Town Council has launched the 2024 Community Sports Competition in the district.
Football and Netball teams from Lwata, Isangano, and Lukutu wards, which make up Group A, kicked off the competition at Njoko Primary School in Senior Chief Shimumbi’s Chiefdom over the weekend.In football, Isangano defeated Lwata 3-0, while the match between Lukutu and Isangano ended in a draw.
The game between Lwata and Lukutu ended in Lwata beating Lukutu 1-0In Netball, Lwataβs team triumphed over Isangano with a 5-3 victory.
The Community Sports Competition will run through out this week with the last teams in Group C playing on Sunday, 27th October 2024.
