The Lusaka-Ndola Road dual carriageway project has made significant progress, with 17.8% completion on the main road and 88.6% completion on the 45km Masangano-Fisenge-Luanshya Road.
The Masangano-Fisenge-Luanshya Road is expected to be completed by December 31, 2024.
Project Overview
The project, launched by President Hakainde Hichilema on May 21, 2024, involves upgrading 327km of the Lusaka-Ndola Road and rehabilitating 45km of the Masangano-Luanshya Road.
The concession agreement, worth US$649,976,167, was signed with MOIC-LN for a 25-year period, including three years of construction and 22 years of operations and maintenance.

– Bypasses: 30km long bypasses in Kabwe and Kapiri-Mposhi towns

– Weighbridge: One new weighbridge at Kafulafuta and upgrading the existing one at Kapiri Mposhi
– New Bridge: Construction of a new bridge at Kafubu Bridge in Ndola.
