A contractor for Nalolo District in Western Province has completed and delivered 196 desks to four schools in the area.
The desks that were constructed by MEGAMOLD Construction Limited have been delivered two months ahead of schedule.
Nalolo Town Council Public Relations Officer, Buttyson Kandimba, said the desks are part of the 2,888 being procured in 2024 using the expanded Constituency Development Fund (CDF). 
Mr Kandimba disclosed that 49 desks have been delivered to Sianda, 37 at Ñgeleta, 90 at Lunga while 20 were delivered to Muoyo Secondary School.
“As a local authority, we are happy to note that the company has completed the delivery of desks within one month from the date of signing the contract, which is two months ahead of schedule,” he said.
He has urged other contractors awarded tenders to supply desks to various schools in the district to expedite the process to ensure that no child sits on the floor while attending school as directed by President Hakainde Hichilema.
