Former Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has been arrested by the Zambia Police after being found hiding in the ceiling at his Chamba Valley residence in Lusaka.
This arrest follows his conviction for unlawful wounding, which led to a bench warrant being issued by the court.
Lusambo, a former Kabushi Member of Parliament, was convicted in absentia by the Luanshya Magistrate Court for unlawful wounding.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga, Lusambo’s arrest was executed at his residence, where he was attempting to evade authorities.
This development stems from a long-standing case initiated in 2019, involving Lusambo’s alleged assault on two National Democratic Congress members during the Roan Parliamentary by-election.
